Punjabi Singer Parmish Verma Shot At In Mohali By Gangster

“Some unidentified persons fired shots at Parmish last night at Sector 91 in Mohali when he was returning home. A bullet hit his leg,” Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chahal said.

Famous Punjabi singer and music director Parmish Verma was shot at by some unidentified assailants in Mohali.

The singer, who shot into fame with his song ‘Gaal Ni Kadni’, was admitted to a private hospital in Mohali.

“Some unidentified persons fired shots at Parmish last night at Sector 91 in Mohali when he was returning home. A bullet hit his leg,” Mohali Senior Superintendent of Police Kuldeep Chahal said.

The official said that the singer was out of danger.A case has been registered in this regard, police said, adding that investigation was underway.

SSP Mohali Kuldeep Chahal told that Parmish was reportedly injured in sector 74 Mohali outside his housing society, when some unknown persons fired upon him last night at around 1:30am.

The gangster is known for similar threats and attacks and has the guts to not only claim responsibility but also walk about freely…,’ the Managing Director and President of PTC Network wrote on his Facebook page.

‘I implore upon the whole entertainment industry to join hands together and force the government to book the gangster. We must all stand together against anyone who threatens and terrorises our artistes,’ he added.

In a surprising developement, a man named Dilpreet Singh Dhahan has claimed responsibility of the shooting by boasting about it on his Facebook page. Dhahan confessed to shooting the singer and even shared a collage of Verma and himself. The picture has Dhahan holding a gun, while Verma’s image has been crossed with a red marker.

The post, written in Punjabi, roughly translates to: “I, Dilpreet Singh Dhahan, wish to tell all of you that I have shot Parmish Verma today… Be grateful that you are saved today, but next time you won’t.”
